Intorduction to AI
Computer and information communication technologies have continuously developed over the years, which has also led to the development of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the ability of machines to adapt to new situations, solve emerging situations, solve problems, answer questions, plan devices, and perform various other functions that require a certain level of intelligence typical of human beings. [Q33] Artificial intelligence systems are designed to to be able to make decisions that are based on the analysis of data, patterns and rules. Thus, AI refers to synthetic intelligence created by humans and manifested through artificial neural networks, vector machines or fuzzy logic.
Basic techniques used in artificial intelligence include machine learning, where machines learn from sample data, decision trees, which are used for rule-based analysis and decision-making, or neural networks, which are designed to behave like the brain.
In recent years, artificial intelligence has received a lot of attention and has developed significantly due to advances in data science technologies, computing power, and the development of new algorithms.[O32] One of the main goals of AI research is to create systems that can operate autonomously, intelligently, and with minimal human input. This is achieved through the development of algorithms that can learn from data and make predictions or decisions based on it. These algorithms can be designed to perform a wide range of tasks, such as speech and image recognition, transmission optimization, financial forecasting, robot control, medicine and much more. In short, UI is currently all around us.
The concept of deep learning has emerged as a major aspect of development. In deep learning, multiple layers of neural networks are interconnected to create better machine learning capabilities (deep learning falls under machine learning). However, progress in the development of computing technologies and the wide availability of training data have caused the re-development of UI as a useful tool in both commercial and industrial applications [O25]. The introduction of graphics processors (GPU) and the subsequent emergence of tensor processors28 (TPU), which took over the role of the previously used central processing unit (CPU), significantly accelerated the implementation of UI algorithms. The aforementioned computing technologies have ensured a higher speed of data processing, capable of processing and simulating a large number of data files. Therefore, with the emergence of newer applications, as part of the improvement of the existing computing capacity, the UI capabilities will also be constantly improved.
